This is all the information you need to know about Thane Metro. Metro project in Thane
Although Line-4 of the Mumbai Metro’s 32.32-kilometer elevated route goes through 32 stops from Kasarvadavali near Thane in the north MMR to Wadala in the south, the TMC plans to build an internal metro system to link the city’s various areas.
The TMC had originally proposed an internal metro to connect the various areas of Thane up to Mumbai Metro Line-4, however the government later requested that the light rail system be built instead. The proposal was made after considering the Thane Metro project’s economic feasibility and efficiency.
According to the TMC, Given Thane’s fast expanding population, a classic metro system is more suited than an express train system. Furthermore, connecting a light rail system to a metro line will be impossible.

The influence of the Thane Metro on real estate
Property owners and tenants in Mumbai’s densely populated areas near key corporate hubs have been searching for larger and more expensive homes in the aftermath of the COVID-19 epidemic’s “work-from-home” scenario. This has resulted in a significant increase in real estate demand in Thane, a strategically located zone inside the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, during the previous year (MMR).
Buyers of houses in the region will soon be able to purchase larger and nicer residences in places that will be connected to Mumbai through metro line 4. Thane real estate has benefited from the growing popularity of working from home.
Because of the proposed Thane Metro and the planned Thane Metro, demand for property in Thane may increase as a result of increased connectivity, resulting in a rise in Thane property prices.
