Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions mentioned in one of its company blogs that they have developed their own material mix, which is an extrudable concrete made of cement, sand, geopolymers, and fibres. The final mix was created by mixing the raw materials in a large hopper. “The structure was specifically designed hollow while 3D printing, to allow provisions for wiring and plumbing without damaging the wall.” 

Tvasta has also created a concrete 3D printer from scratch. About Chennai’s first 3D printed house

Tvasta’s first structure is a 600-square-foot single-story house built in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter on the IIT-Madras campus. The house was built in just five days. “A standard 3D printer can produce a 2,000-square-foot home in less than a week, which is one-eighth of the time spent today erecting a functioning house.”  In terms of waste materials, this technology generates only one-third of the waste generated by traditional building methods.”
