The COVID-19 has created another havoc from the past month and it is getting aggressive day by day. With the increase in COVID cases, the government is coming up with different COVID-19 hospital and quarantine centres setups which help the medical system to manage the present hike in the number of covid patients. Realtors in Mumbai have also stepped forward to give their helping hand to the medical infrastructural setup.

Real estate developers are supporting the system in several ways like taking the initiative to undertake a vaccination drive for their construction workers. The member of realty developers body  CREDAI MCHI has now also converted a few selected commercial properties into covid centres in cooperation with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).

The President of CREDAI MCHI said that,

Till now the members of  CREDAI-MCHI have provided spaces and infrastructures for over 310 beds. However, Goradia expects more developers to support this COVID-19 measure soon.

Real estate developers including Rustomjee Group, Ajmera Group and Shree Naman Group have provided additional infrastructural support. In a stressed environment like today where patients are struggling for a bed and proper medical treatment, Covid19 centres like these definitely will provide great relief.

Rustomjee Group has set up a small COVID centre at Rustomjee International School in Dahisar suburb of Mumbai with a set up of 150 bed-facility. And Shree Naman Group has set up a centre of the 120-bed at Nehru Science Centre in Worli. Whereas Ajmera Group has set up another small COVID centre at Times Square Commercial Complex in Andheri facilitating 40-bed.

The developers just not only from Mumbai but also from the other cities of our country are coming forward in supporting the government’s efforts to tackle the present sudden surge in the number of COVID patients. They are continuously taking efforts towards maximizing the reach of the Covid-19 vaccine to eligible citizens.

Entities like Blackstone Group-backed Mindspace Business Parks, Embassy Office Parks, Brookfield Properties and DLF are providing assistance in carrying out these vaccination efforts smoothly.
