July 31, 2023: In the Parliament, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs revealed that 187 projects associated with the smart city mission had been finished in Jammu and Kashmir. However, there are still about 122 projects that need to be completed. Over Rs 4000 Crores is the total estimated value of the finished projects.

Out of the total projects finished, 84 were finished in Jammu Smart City and the rest 103 in Srinagar Smart City. In addition, 40 of the 122 ongoing projects are in Jammu, with the remaining 82 in Srinagar. More than Rs 3,600 crores are being spent on the active projects.
