\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n In the city of Bijapur, the Adil Shahi dynasty created a number of noteworthy historical and architectural landmarks. Vijayapura’s architectural activities significantly increased during the Adil Shahi reign (Bijapur). The name of the monument is derive from the words “Gola Gummata” or “Gol Gombadh,” both of which denote a “circular dome.” Gol Gumbaz, one of India’s most significant monuments, was construct in Karnataka in the Deccan architectural style. A dome with an outer diameter connects two cubes that make up the monument’s grand construction.<\/p>\n The massive dome has a “whispering gallery” that runs the length of it. These are so named because even the slightest sound may be heard on the opposite side due to the space’s acoustics. The construction of Gol Gumbaz started in 1626 AD and took roughly 30 years to complete.<\/p>\n It is looked after by the Archaeological Survey of India. All seven days of the week, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, you can visit Gol Gumbaz. It was built during the reign of Adilshah and is consider to as the Agra of South India. It is also known as Vijapura Fort and has a 50-foot-long moat around it. Over time, kings from various dynasties built a variety of buildings inside the fort.<\/p>\n The public can visit Bijapur Fort from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Visitors from India, SAARC members, and BIMSTEC members must pay Rs 15, while visitors from other countries must pay Rs 200.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Bara Kaman, an incomplete mausoleum in Bijapur with 12 beautiful arches, was built by Adil Shah II in 1672 AD. Twelve arches were to be built around the tomb of King Ali and his wives, running both vertically and horizontally around the structure.<\/p>\n The tomb and the arches, however, were left unfinish because Adil Shah II was slain by his father and also because he did not want Bara Kaman to overshadow Gol Gumbaz’s architectural achievement. It is open daily from 6 AM until 6 PM.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The “Durbar Hall” of Sultan Ali I was the 15th-century structure known as Gagan Mahal. Tourists may view three arches, with the centre arch measuring 17 metres high & 20 metres broad.<\/p>\n The royal family used to reside in this interesting palace’s basement floor, which is accessible through stairs. Tourists can currently only see the ruins of this majestic old building, the Taj Mahal.<\/p>\n Hours: from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It has been classified as a new dam ever since construction on this dam got underway in 2005. The Narayanpur reservoir has been drained of the water needed to produce energy in order to supply crops further downriver.<\/p>\n From 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, visitors are welcome at the Almatti Dam.<\/p>\n There is an Rs 20 admission fee per person.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Malik-e Maidan in Bijapur is a well-known landmark in the city. It is substantial cannon that are perch atop a Bijapur tower. Malik-e-Maidan means “monarch of the plains” in English. Ibrahim Adil Shah II, a well-known king of Bijapur, built the structure in the 16th century.<\/p>\n It is well known that the cannon were the largest cannon ever used in mediaeval India.
