Female homebuyer<\/span><\/h3>\n

The stamp duty, which includes 1% LBT and 1% Metro Cess, will be payable at 6% of the property value if a female homebuyer purchases a property in Pune for Rs 50 lakh.<\/p>\n

Stamp duty of 4% on Rs. 50 lakhs are equal to Rs. 2 lakhs.<\/p>\n

LBT at 1% equals Rs 50,000.<\/p>\n

Metro Cess at 1% is equal to Rs 50,000.<\/p>\n

A property valued Rs. 50 lakhs will require a total stamp duty payment of Rs. 3 lakh.<\/p>\n

According to the analysis above, a woman homebuyer in Pune would be able to save Rs 50,000 on a property valued at Rs 50 lakh. For female property owners, stamp duty refund rates are comparable throughout the State.<\/p>\n

Male and female customers pay the same registration fee. For homes costing less than Rs 30 lakh, the fee is 1% of the property value; it is capped at Rs 30,000 for properties costing more over Rs 30 lakh.<\/p>\n

Maharashtra’s 2022 stamp duty rates<\/h2>\n

A one percent Metro cess on real estate transactions was reinstated by the State in April 2022 in the cities of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai,\u00a0Pune, Thane, & Nagpur. The additional metro cess in these State micromarkets did not affect the stamp duty exemption for female homebuyers.<\/p>\n
