MHADA Lottery 2023: Online Application, Eligibility, Results

Affordable housing programmes are developed by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). The Authority may soon raise the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for housing units owned by the Middle-Income Group (MIG) and High-Income Group in order to root out corruption (HIG). Continue reading to learn more about the housing lottery 2023 strategy for the MHADA.

For applicants in the Middle-Income Group (MIG) and High-Income Group, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) may shortly implement a major change to the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) (HIG). Officials have suggested increasing the EMD from 5% to 10% of the cost of the property. The action is reportedly intended to make the units more accessible to serious homebuyers. Since a raise may make it more difficult for applicants from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) to get a flat in the State, the authorities will not change the EMD for those candidates. Additionally, the authority is probably going to unveil a programme for affordable housing in January 2023.
