House of Saif Ali Khan’s Pataudi Palace: A Photographic Tour

The Pataudi Palace, which is a true royal house, contains 150 rooms total, including seven bedrooms, seven dressing rooms, seven billiards rooms, lavish dining halls, and drawing rooms. It also has huge grounds, a sizable swimming pool, some farmland, and a stable.

After regaining ownership of the property, Saif Ali Khan hired Mumbai-based architect & interior designer Darshini Shah to remodel and furnish several areas of the palace to make it more comfortable.

Lounge of the Pataudi Palace

The heritage palace’s restored interiors breathe new life into it while preserving its elegance. The walls are a vivid yellow, as shown in the photograph above, and there is a beautiful artwork and some antique frames. The couch’s stylish English floral print adds to the setting’s quaintness. The elegant rug on the floor, which matches the couch’s floral pattern and only enhances the space’s chicness, should not be overlooked.

Another area of the home where the family hosts visitors is the room in the picture above. Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif’s child with Amrita Singh, is pictured above. In an effort to escape the city’s bustle, he and his pals frequent the palace on a regular basis. We can see a glimpse of another room that has been carefully decorated with the family’s legacy in mind in the photograph above. Old pictures of the family & cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan in all his prowess are displayed on the walls.

The focal point is a sizable chesterfield couch covered in plush maroon fabric, and the antique candle stand in the backdrop completes the whole antique look. The stag head decorations on the wall also stick out (very literally).

There are numerous regal corridors throughout the palace.

The palace’s hallways are breathtaking, to put it mildly. The floors are done in checkered marble, as you can see in the image above (which is really more than 80% of the historic feel), and the walls essentially transport you down memory lane with several framed pictures from the family’s illustrious past. Beautiful crystal chandeliers and vintage lighting on the walls both significantly contribute to the theme of the room.

A blue wall with relics from the past is visible at the entryway. Under finely crafted light fixtures, miniature swords are on exhibit, but the gorgeous taxidermied tiger really steals the show.

The dining room of the Pataudi Palace

The Pataudi Palace’s dining room is just as opulent as the rest of the building. We can see a peek of it in the image above, where there are big windows that let in a lot of natural light and walls covered in old paintings and framed relics. The vintage lighting up on the wall and the furniture’s wood construction with amazing carvings uphold the space’s overall vibe.

Bedrooms at Pataudi Palace

The bedrooms in the palace are truly suite for a king, as shown in the photograph above. The interior design and furnishings include hardwood floors, elaborate antique furniture, a massive poster bed with a bed skirt, a plush rug, and aristocratic paintings. The remaining bedrooms all have similar themes and are very opulent.

Inside the Pataudi Palace, a Billiards Room

We can see inside one of the Pataudi Palace’s pool rooms in the image below. Long Persian carpets are put around the table to provide players with stable footing while playing, and the room’s flooring matches that of the rest of the home with black and white marbles laid out in a chevron pattern. The room’s shelves and chest all have an antique feel to them, and there are old photographs hanging on the wall. For participants to rest while they wait for their turn, a huge leather lounging area has been set up in a section of the room.

Outside of the Pataudi Palace

The gardens on the grounds of Saif Ali Khan’s Pataudi Palace are a statement of tradition and style that adhere to its design principles. A large garden area surrounds the palace; it has attractive landscaping and is full of plants with vibrant flowers and other magnificent exhibit plants. There is a sizable swimming pool nearby as well, equipped with terraces for lounging in the sun and umbrellas. From the pictures below, you can also see various swings and other kid-friendly play places. The Pataudi family’s forefathers’ gravestones and a few fountains may also be found in the garden.

Other Houses of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan

Both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ail Khan have successful Bollywood careers and reside in Mumbai with their two sons. They live in a four-story house in Bandra West that has a swimming pool, plenty of outside sitting, and a separate library for Saif.

The family spends some of the winters in a luxurious Chalet that the couple owns in Gstaad, Switzerland. The family who frequently enjoys their skiing vacations here will find the resort town in the Swiss Alps to be the ideal retreat. Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi Garden is a 1000 square foot piece of land in Maharashtra that was given to the boy on his first birthday by nutritionist Rujtuja Diwaker.
