Karnala Bird Santuary
Karnala Bird Sanctuary is a beautiful place near Sai Proviso County. The place is popular among bird watchers and mountain hikers from Mumbai and Pune City. The sanctuary is a home for 222 species of birds and 114 species of butterflies. The sanctuary is located at a distance of 12 km from Panvel and regular buses at the interval of 30 minutes are available for transport to this place. For tourists, there are many hotels and restaurants available in the vicinity of this beautiful place.
Karnal Fort
Karnala Fort is a popular place for mountain trekking and it is within Karnala Bird Sanctuary. This historic fort was build in the year 1400 and it actually made up of two forts one at a higher level and the other at a lower level. The Karnala trail trek is 2.69 km and needs 1 hour of trekking time to reach this fort. However, to make this hike easy and comfortable, 5 resting places have been built by the forest department. From the top of the fort, you can watch Prabalgad, Manikgad, Haji Malang, Chanderi fort, Matheran, Sankshi fort, Dronagiri fort, and Rajmachi clearly. On this fort, there is one temple dedicated to the goddess Bhavani
Gadeshwar Dam
This dam is 25km from Sai Proviso and is a beautiful weekend escape for families and groups of friends. It is a nice picnic spot, especially in the monsoon season. This is a picturesque location and is a home for many bird species. This dam provides 20 percent of freshwater to Panvel City.

It is believed that the legend Pandavas had taken a bath in this waterfall when they were exiled in the forest.
