A Third, Larger Mumbai With The Most Data Centres In India

Between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, a larger, third Mumbai will be built with the most data centres in India: Vice-CM Fadnavis

Mumbai: Maharashtra is constructing a third Mumbai, larger than either of the two current cities, between Mumbai & Navi Mumbai. In addition to becoming the hub of India’s digital economy & industry 4.0, it will house the majority of data centres in the country.

The third Mumbai will be built next to the New Mumbai Airport, which is currently being built. According to deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, there are already significant data centres as well as a new international airport under construction nearby.

Around March 2024 is when construction on the New Mumbai Airport is anticipated to be finished.
