But there are some plants that are not recommended by Vastu Shastra as they may bring negative energy and you may experience losses and bad luck if you grow them at your home. 1. Cactus

Even though as per home decor they look pretty and gorgeous they are strictly not recommended by Vastu Shastra as well as Feng Shui. It is believed that these thorny cactus can attract bad energy. As per Vastu, these plants can bring stress and anxiety. They also can bring bad luck to the property owner’s life. So, you should not grow any plants from the cactus family. The exclusion is rose plants.

However, if you do not want to miss these tiny creatures at all you can consult your Vastu specialist and know the perfect direction where they can be kept at your home. If they are placed in the right position can fight negative energy and can prove to be protector.

2. Bonsai Plants

3. Cotton Plants

Cotton plants and silky cotton plants should be avoided at home. These plants are considered inauspicious and considered bad luck plants as per Vastu.

4. Mehendi  Plants (Myrtle Plant)

One should not keep Myrtle or Mehendi Plant at home because it is believed that evil spirits dwell in these plants. Also, the smell of these plants is very pungent and may harm the mental peace of the people leaving nearby these trees.

5. Babul Tree 

Even though these trees are mostly used in wood construction work for home, planting this tree at home should be strictly avoided as per Vastu. This tree also belongs to the thorny family and thorny plants should be avoided to grow at home.

6. Tamarind Tree

Tamarind tree also believed to attract evil energy and is not recommended to plant near or inside your home. They may attract negativity and hamper the peacefulness of your mind.

7. Banyan Tree (Ficus Benghalensis)

Even though the banyan tree is considered very auspicious as per Hindu religion it should not be planted inside or near your home. These plants are also not recommended as per Vastu shastra. These plants are also not good to plant logically, near your home because they are very strong and even have the strength to hamper the architect of your home with its strong root.

Other Things To Consider As Per Vastu About Plants 

  1. Never Keep dead or fungal plants inside your home, it brings negativity and bad luck
  2. Also, you should not keep the dried flowers on the plant for longer time
  3. Do not Grow big plants in front of your main door as it obstructs the energy flow.
  4. Also do not plant big trees in the east or northeast direction because it may emit negative energy.
  5. Milk excluding plants should not be planted in the home as they attract illness and other health-related problems
  6. Artificial plants also should be avoided as they can not grow.
  7. Do not place the plants in the northeast corners of your home because as per Vastu these places should be kept open.
