The Akshaya Tritiya Pujan Vidhi

On Akshaya Tritiya, people observe fasting and dress in yellow. They also get ready early in the morning. If at all feasible, it is considered lucky to take a dip in a holy river. Beginning each day with arghya (water offered to the Sun god), dhyana (meditation), and sankalpa (pledge to conduct the puja wholeheartedly and with complete devotion). Sprinkle Gangajal to purify the home and the puja altar.

• Place the idols of Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu, and Lady Lakshmi in the puja chamber on a yellow-covered wooden chowki.
• Keep any expensive items you’ve bought, such gold or silver, close to the deities.
• Make a paste with rose water and sandalwood powder. On the statues of the deities, apply the tilak.
• Get a Kalash ready. Put some turmeric to it, then use sindoor to draw a Swastika mark. Water, turmeric, kumkum, and a few coins are place in the kalash. A bundle of mango leaves should be place on the kalash with the leaves facing up. Now, secure an entire coconut in its husk to the Kalash’s neck. Gently place the Kalash on the chowki.
• Light an oil lamp and some incense. Sit down on a yellow chair.

• Start reciting the Ganesh mantra, Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha. Offering water, akshat, flowers, kalava, janeu, fruits, and dakshina will help you win the god’s favour.
• Chant “Shreem” for Lakshmi, the goddess. Recite Lord Vishnu-related scriptures like the Vishnu Chalisa or the Vishnu Sahasranama. Give the gods prayers, water, akshat, and mauli.
• Give Lord Vishnu janeu and Lady Lakshmi sindoor. At the puja, Lord Vishnu should get chandan, flowers, incense sticks, and Tulsi, while Goddess Lakshmi should receive a lotus.
• Using ingredients like milk, rice, or dal, make bhog (naiveidhya) at home and serve it to the gods.
• Along with your family, perform the aarti at home.
• Give the prasad to each individual member.
